Man’s plunge closes roads

POLICE closed off roads in Joppa over the weekend after a man fell from scaffolding.

Officers had been called to a deal with a man who was “causing a disturbance” in Morton Street, Joppa, on Saturday
afternoon.

Roads were closed around the area while police dealt with the incident.

Lothian and Borders Police later said the man had fallen from the scaffolding and been taken to Edinburgh Royal
Infirmary.

They said they did not believe his injuries were
serious.
