Man killed by lorry on city bypass named

A MAN who died after he was hit by a lorry has been named.

Paul Coutts, 35, from Haddington, East Lothian, was pronounced dead shortly after arriving in hospital in Edinburgh on Friday night, Lothian and Borders Police said.

His wife Laura said: “Paul’s death is an absolute tragedy and has left us all devastated. He was loved to bits and will be missed by everyone who knew him, including family, friends and especially his daughter.”

He was struck at about 11.40pm on the Edinburgh city bypass half a mile east of Sheriffhall roundabout.
