Residents in Eskbank and Newbattle are being encouraged to find out more about how they can shape the future of their area.

A neighbourhood planning workshop is to be held at 7pm on Tuesday at Kirkbank Centre, Newbattle Church. Eibhlin McHugh, Midlothian Council’s director of communities and wellbeing, said: “This is an important step in creating a plan for the future of Eskbank and Newbattle.

“It’s an opportunity for local people to have their say on the topics which are important to the community.”
