Ladies’ night to help bears

A LADIES’ night is set to raise funds to help ease the suffering of thousands of Asiatic Black Bears held captive in bear farms throughout China.

The Animals Asia Foundation says an estimated 7000- 12,000 bears are confined to coffin-sized cages for anything up to 30 years.

The event, featuring cabaret and a disco will take place at Tranent Brig Inn from 7.30pm on May 18. Tickets cost £8. For more information contact Laura Kemp on 07729 824 398.
