Island rescue drama

A MAN has been treated in hospital after sustaining a suspected broken leg on Cramond Island.

Coastguard crews and medics rushed to the scene of the accident following an emergency call just after 2pm yesterday.

The 55-year-old was stretchered into a lifeboat before being transported to Granton Harbour. He was later taken to the ERI for further treatment.
