DOUGHNUT deliruium broke out at Hermiston Gait this morning as hundreds of people queued in the snow for the long-awaited opening of the new Krispy Kreme outlet.

Around 300 people camped outside waiting patiently, perhaps even salivating slightly, for their first taste in the Capital of a Glazed Original, Chocolate Kreme or a Millionaires Shortbread.

It follows successful store openings in Cardiff and Manchester.
