Heroin duo face lengthy prison terms
TWO drug dealers who were caught with more than £15,000 of heroin on the M8 are facing lengthy prison sentences.
David Thomson, 44, and Paul Clark, 34, were watched by police transporting the drug at various locations in the Capital.
They were caught by officers with £16,450 of the drug in their possession on September 19 last year.
The story emerged following a three-day trial at the High Court in Edinburgh in which the pair originally denied the allegations.
However, Clark, of Hailesland Grove, changed his not guilty plea to guilty on Monday – just minutes before his legal team were due to begin addressing the jury for the final time.
Thomson, a prisoner of HMP Edinburgh, was found guilty of being concerned in the supply of heroin by the jury. The pair will be sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow on March 15.
