Have a glow at record attempt

REGISTRATION has opened for Royal Blind’s annual Glow in the Park event.

The children’s sponsored walk, on October 27, launches Royal Blind’s fundraising Light Relief Week.

This year’s theme of “Magic and Illusion” will culminate in an attempt to break the current Guinness World Record for the largest magic lesson. An official adjudicator will be present and, if successful, participants will receive certificates confirming their world record status.

Those taking part are encouraged to attend the event, at Fettes College, in fancy dress.

The college gates will open at 5.30pm and each child will receive a free goodie bag and medal, as well as opportunities to participate in a toy raffle, free face painting and a range of magical activities.

The evening will be hosted by Dingo, left, from Forth One, with tickets £5 per child and £2 per adult.

Register at www.royalblind.org/glowinthepark or call 0131-229 1456.
