Green light for title bid

Edinburgh’s bid to become the greenest city in Scotland will get under way tomorrow as Beautiful Scotland judges tour the Capital.

They will be shown around Princes Street Gardens, Holyrood Park and the Botanics, as well as community gardening initiatives at Duddingston Village and the Canongate.

Lesley Hinds, the city’s environment leader, said: “Beautiful Scotland offers an opportunity to promote the outstanding green space we have in our city.”
