Glorious ‘mud day’ planned

INTERNATIONAL Mud Day is to be celebrated in East Lothian for the first time.

Events will be aimed at children aged up to seven, with activities centered on mud and the outdoors.

Organiser Steven Haddington said: “It’s about outdoor play using natural materials. Kids love playing with mud.”

There will be an organised Mud Day in the Pavilion at Neilson Park in Haddington on June 29 from 1-3pm. Grants of £50 are available for groups to hold Mud Day events, e-mail pmclaren@eastlothian.gov.uk.
