AN appeal has been made to find a home for a dog which lost a leg when he was hit by a car.

Staff at Dogs Trust West Calder are hunting for owners for five-year-old German Shepherd Sable, who was struck by a vehicle when he was just one.

Centre manager Susan Tonner said: “Sable is extremely loyal and absolutely loves being fussed over. The perfect home for him would be with owners who have experience with dogs and easy access into the garden but most importantly someone who is willing to let this  three-legged dog be a dog.”
