Fringe takes shows east

THE Edinburgh Fringe is crossing borders into East Lothian this month with a diverse entertainment package heading to the Brunton Theatre.

Dubbed Fringespiration, the programme will feature children’s theatre and live music performances as part of the month-long festival.

A spokesman for the festival said: “The Edinburgh Festival Fringe started on Friday and with 2695 shows in the programme, where do you start?

“Brunton Theatre in Musselburgh has put together an eclectic mix of music and children’s theatre this year, from the unusual to the familiar, from jazz standards to Pink Floyd classics, you’ll be entertained and amazed. If you’re looking for some Fringespiration, look no further.”

The festival runs until Sunday, August 26.
