Floodlights get go-ahead

FLOODLIGHTS are set to be erected beside a football pitch to allow night games after the plans were approved by council chiefs.

The six 15-metre high floodlight columns will be installed at the playing field in  Easthouses Public Park in Easthouses.

But the floodlights will not be permitted to be kept in use after 10pm each night to avoid annoying neighbours.

The proposals, which were put forward in May, were approved by Midlothian Council following a recent meeting.
