Flats plans submitted

A NEW block of flats is set to be built in a Lothian town under plans put forward by a developer to council chiefs.

Patience and Highmore Ltd, based in Edinburgh, submitted proposals to build 12 flats in a three-storey block in Elder Street, Tranent.

The flats would be built on the site of a former workshop which has been demolished.

New car parking and landscaped areas would also be created as part of the
development.

The developer has already been in discussions with council officials over the proposed height of the building.

The plans are set to be considered by East Lothian
Council at a future meeting.
