Fired up for charity wash
FIREFIGHTERS are to turn their hoses on the Capital’s cars as part of a fundraising drive.
The Fire Fighters Charity national car wash will see motorists in Edinburgh take their vehicles along to fire stations for a clean.
Drivers will be asked to make a donation, raising vital funds to provide life-enhancing services for crews and their families.
The next wash takes place at Marionville fire station on Saturday. Chief fire officer Alex Clark, of Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue, said: “We are delighted that our fire stations are getting involved and would urge local people to come along and support the day.
“Valued donations will go towards helping thousands of men, women and children from the fire and rescue service community during their times of need.”
