Film crew in hunt for Ark

A CITY production company is to climb the mountainous peak where Noah’s Ark is said have beached as part of a documentary tracing the footsteps of a missing “Ark hunter”.

Staff from Plainview Films re jetting off to Mount Ararat on the Turkey-Iran border where – according to Genesis – the Ark came to rest. They are following the experiences of Derick Mackenzie whose brother Donald vanished from the area in September 2010.

The Stornoway man had been combining ark hunting with missionary work in Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Israel since 2004. The documentary will be screened next year.
