Ferris wheel on the way

THE giant ferris wheel which city bosses have agreed to erect in Princes Street Gardens is on its way to the Capital.

Workers in Manchester, where the 60-metre wheel was previously located, dismantled it piece by piece last week ahead of its trip to Edinburgh.

The Evening News reported on Thursday how planners approved construction of the wheel in the city centre, where it is expected to provide rides for up to 1000 passengers a day for six months.

The wheel will be placed in Princes Street Gardens West to aid struggling traders in the West End.
