Experts have it all taped

ARCHITECTS working on the new Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation have announced the project is on course to become the world’s most 
sustainable listed building.

Malcolm Fraser intends to transform the Old High School on Infirmary Street from an 18th-century structure to a marvel of sustainable design.

Advanced technology has been overlooked in favour of applying sticky tape to seal window frames to the £10 million Edinburgh university building.

Architect Calum Duncan said: “The tape is more sophisticated than it sounds, but it is not a ‘look at me’ technology.”
