Eddie Izzard has African ancestors

EXPERTS from Edinburgh University have helped trace comedian Eddie Izzard’s DNA back 200,000 years – to Africa.

A new BBC documentary using a sample of his saliva reveals the comedian’s genetic past tracking his ancestors from across the globe.

Scientists at the university and BritainsDNA worked on the project.

Izzard said: “I was very keen to film a documentary following my own DNA because it not only tells me who the hell I am, but also, as we go back thousands of years, who everyone else is.”
