Drugs left 
at bus stop

Police are appealing for information after a carrier bag containing prescription medication was lost in Musselburgh.

The bag, which contained a quantity of methadone and valium tablets, was last seen on the ground at the bus stop on the High Street near the police station around 8pm on Sunday.

A police spokesman said: “This medication should only be taken by the person it is prescribed to, and could have significant health implications if taken by anyone else.

“Anyone who finds this bag should contact police immediately or hand them in to the nearest police station.”
