Dennis pulls a stunt as star turn for Tattoo

DENNIS the Menace is to be given a starring role in this year’s Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

He and fellow cartoon character Minnie the Minx will perform stunts on BMXs on the Castle Esplanade each night of the Tattoo.

It’s part of a shake-up of the event by new producer, Brigadier David Alfrey, who also wants audiences to get into the Jubilee spirit by wearing diamond-themed attire.

“We want the whole audience to be sparkling,” he said,

But Brigadier Alfrey also assured the public: “All the traditional elements of the Tattoo will still be there.”
