Deal brings action to end

Unite members at API Foils in Livingston have welcomed a deal which has ended weeks of industrial action.

The company has given Unite written commitments that going forward it will respect the collective bargaining agreement with Unite and engage in meaningful consultation over employees’ terms and conditions of employment.

Unite national officer Steve Sibbald said: “After a week of meetings, we have reached agreement with the employer that resolves this dispute. API states that in future it will have meaningful consultations.”
