Chanel fashion show for top designers heads for palace

LINLITHGOW Palace is to host a Chanel fashion show attended by world-famous designers and Hollywood A-listers.

The French fashion house will stage their Metiers d’Art show there next month.

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Keira Knightley are said to be on the guest list for creative director Karl Lagerfeld’s glitzy bash.

French actress Vanessa Paradis and German actress Diane Kruger have previously attended the show, which reveals the latest creations from the design studio founded by Coco Chanel.

Construction workers will move in within the next few weeks to set up for the show.

A huge glass cube will be erected inside the roofless castle – birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots – to protect guests from the elements.

The show is one of the major dates in the fashion calendar. Previous venues have included Paris, Tokyo and New York.
