Cannabis haul ‘is largest yet’

POLICE have seized what is believed to be the largest haul of cannabis in the Lothians after a stop-and-search on a van.

Officers made the seizure in West Lothian in which cannabis resin said to be worth about £575,000 was seized. A man has appeared in court in connection with the incident.

In February, detectives confiscated drugs with a street value of £200,000, at the time described as their largest ever cannabis haul.
