Brain tumour teen meets pop star Olly

Singer Olly Murs has helped to make a wish come true for a teenage fan from the Capital who is recovering from a brain tumour.

The pop star, who found fame via TV’s X Factor in 2009, met up with Lucy McCloy when he visited the city for his recent concert at Edinburgh Castle.

Lucy, 16, had been to an Olly Murs concert earlier in the year, but the tumour had robbed her of memories of the day.

Her mum Marie said: “It was wonderful that Lucy was able to rebuild some of the memories she created before her surgery because they have now almost been erased.

“The day was perfect, we could easily get used to living life like that.”
