BOMB disposal experts rushed to the Holyrood area after a report of explosive material within a property.

Police and officers from the Royal Logistic Corps branch of the army were called to the scene at Dumbiedykes Road, near the Scottish Parliament building, yesterday.

The force later released a statement saying they had carried out a search of the property, but found no suspicious circumstances, or danger to local residents.
