Bike stolen in Oxgangs

A THIEF made off with a bike worth £1400 after the owner left it outside a city takeaway.

The bike, a red Specialized StumpJumper, was stolen from outside the Chip Inn on Oxgangs Road North at around 7pm on Wednesday. Police are now appealing for information to return the bike to its owner.

A police spokesman said: “Police are appealing to anyone with any information to contact them on 0131-311 3131, or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111.”
