Big read for bookworms

CHILDREN in Midlothian are being invited to take part in a reading challenge over the summer holidays.

The event will be running at all libraries in the area between June 20 and August 25.

The Summer Reading Challenge sees thousands of four-11-year-olds across Britain take part in the biggest reading event for children in libraries. Each year there is a different theme, which this year is “Story Lab”.

Organisers the National Reading Agency describe Story Lab as “a five-sided hi-tech HQ that attracts stories from all over the world.”
