Barley gets it write for the Book Festival

Director Nick Barley launches the Edinburgh International Book Festival at the Signet Library.

Come August, Charlotte Square Gardens will be turned into a hive of literary activity when the likes of former prime minister Gordon Brown and authors Ian McEwan and Will Self arrive.

Mr Barley said: “In 2012, the Year of Creative Scotland, we are delighted to showcase some of the best Scottish writing, from well-established authors to debut novelists.”
