POLICE today issued a fresh appeal for witnesses to a savage attack on two men in the city centre which left one of the victims suffering from serious head injuries.

Both men were punched to the face and knocked to the ground.
The suspects were described as white males in their early 20s, one wearing a white V-neck T-shirt possibly ripped at the “V”.
The other was wearing a dark-coloured T-shirt and had either short cropped hair or was balding.
A number of passers-by assisted the victims and the culprits were pointed out to a passing taxi driver.
