80 crimes by perverts in a year

REGISTERED sex offenders living in the Lothians committed more than 80 offences last year, new figures have shown.

The figures showed that 82 offences were recorded from among the 536 registered sex offenders (RSOs), including 11 sex crimes.

The total also included 39 non-sexual crimes, 24 registration offences and eight cases where court orders were breached.

In Edinburgh, ten sex crimes were carried out by RSOs between last April and March.
