Scottish Power eingineers are working to fix the problem

MORE than 400 homes and businesses in the Marchmont area of the Capital have been hit by a power cut caused by a fault with an underground cable.

Householders in the area have been without power since 5am.

Scottish Power engineers are on site to fix the fault and were hoping to have power returned by 9am.

The company apologised for any inconvenience caused.
