Group snares MSPs’ time

ANIMAL welfare charity OneKind is calling on the public petitions committee at the Scottish Parliament to put pressure on DEFRA and the government over the issue of animal snaring.

The committee met yesterday to debate an 11,000-strong petition calling for an end to animal snaring, which was originally submitted in March 2008.

Edinburgh-based OneKind wants the committee to keep the petition open until more positive progress has been made on the issue.
