Golf: Power pair

GULLANE’S Keir McNicoll and Callum Nisbet of Bathgate are in the Scottish contingent for the next week’s Powerade PGA Assistants’ Championship.

The pair both qualified for the prestigious 54-hole event, won in 1989 by Capital star Colin Brooks, at the East Sussex National.

Other players taking part from the PGA Scottish Region include former amateur ace Graeme Brown, who was attached to Marriott Dalmahoy for a spell.
