Giving a lift to science fest launch
SCOTTISH weightlifter Peter Kirkbride and ballet student Hannah Eden were lending a hand to the launch of the 2012 Edinburgh International Science Festival at the National Museum of Scotland yesterday.
The pair will be taking part in the festival’s flagship InMotion exhibition, which explores the science of human movement and performance in relation to sport, technology and dance.
Other highlights include an appearance by psychological illusionist Derren Brown, and a return of the BBC’s Bang Goes the Theory team.
The Edinburgh International Science Festival runs from March 30 to April 15.
