Scott back in training after saying sorry
Scott Robinson has apologised
SCOTT ROBINSON has apologised to Hearts manager John McGlynn and returned to training after refusing to take his place among the substitutes for the match against Aberdeen earlier this month.
The 20-year-old midfielder and his agent met club officials to say sorry for an incident which led to him being told to stay away from Riccarton last week. He was disciplined privately and McGlynn said the matter is now closed.
“I met Scott and he was very apologetic for his actions. I was extremely unhappy with him and he knows he was in the wrong,” said the manager.
“The matter has been dealt with internally, the details of which will remain private. Scott is now back training with the first team and we all now move on.”
Robinson told the Hearts website he is eager to focus on football and try to regain his place in the first team.
“The whole situation was regrettable and I have apologised to the manager for what happened,” he said.
“I just want to concentrate on my football now, work hard in training and try to prove to the gaffer that I am worth my place in the squad as we have a lot of important games coming up.”
