Hearts' Ryan Stevenson will find out if his appeal has been successful

HEARTS will find out tomorrow
if their appeal against
the two-match ban offered to Ryan Stevenson has been
successful.

The Tynecastle midfielder was
issued with a notice of complaint by SFA compliance
officer Vincent Lunny for a challenge on James McPake during the Edinburgh derby last week.

The matter will be decided by an SFA fast track tribunal on Thursday and, if Hearts
fail in their appeal, Stevenson will miss the first game back
after the winter break – at Celtic – and the Scottish
Communities League Cup semi-final against Inverness on January 26.

John McGlynn is already missing skipper Marius Zaliukas for the match at Parkhead because of suspension while Darren Barr is banned for the Caley clash.

Meanwhile, Hearts’ fixture against Ross County, which was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch on December 29, has been rescheduled for Saturday, February 2.

County chairman Roy MacGregor has offered to lay on free buses for the Hearts supporters.

Hearts’ league fixture against Motherwell, which was due to be played on Saturday, January 26, has also been moved to
Saturday, March 2.
