Mullen nabs late equaliser
Craigroyston 2
Heriot-Watt University 2
The students broke the deadlock when Daniel Spiller and Michael Webster linked to set Simon Ferrie clear. He was brought down by home keeper Stuart Addison and Sean Muhsin netted the resultant penalty.
Craigroyston immediately replied when Greg Irvine headed a cross into the path of Martin Laidlaw who shot past Craig Saunders but Heriot Watt soon regained the lead from another penalty when Kenny Manson held back Andy Forbes, and Muhsin again did the necessary from the penalty spot to give his side a half time lead.
Craigroyston began to apply pressure in their search for an equaliser but the visitors defence held firm, and indeed the students had chances of their own to seal a victory. But with virtually the last kick of the ball a corner found its way to Keiran Dodd, and although Saunders did superbly to turn his effort onto the crossbar sub Stephen Mullen was on hand to earn a point for Craigroyston.
Craigroyston: Addison, Dodd, Harper, M Stewart, Wallace, Manson, Milligan, Lockhart, Irvine, Laidlaw, J Stewart. Subs: Finlayson, Herd, Fallon, Mullen, Budge.
Heriot Watt: Saunders, Spiller, Main, Travis, Forbes, Ferrie, R Napier, Burke, B Napier, Muhsin Webster. Subs: Watson, Wilson, Connor, Paterson.
