Coyle strike ensures parity

Coldstream 1

Eyemouth 1

Eyemouth got off to a terrific start when Sean Phillips ran down the wing before delivering a cross which was missed by the goalkeeper and allowed Steve Shennon to head home from close range.

John Crawford was then played in and he broke into the Eyemouth box and his powerful shot was saved well by Adam Mutch. Phillips then almost doubled Eyemouth’s lead, but his powerful header crashed off the woodwork before the
danger was cleared.

On the hour mark, Coldstream levelled when Stuart Coyle made a great run into the box and when the ball was played to him his shot rocketed into the top corner, leaving Mutch with no chance.

For the remainder of the game Coldstream dominated and had several chances, but couldn’t find a winning goal.
