Carnoustie fight back to deny Bo’ness

Bo’ness scored after eight minutes of this Super League clash as Watt outran the Carnoustie defence before firing in from just inside the box.

The home side doubled their lead on 19 minutes when Reilly headed in a Duffy free-kick but eight minutes later a dubious penalty decision saw Gates pull one back from the spot. On 36 minutes, Robertson headed in at the near post from a Clark corner to equalise.

Bo’ness regained the lead 15 minutes into the second half, Watt heading in a Reilly knock down from a Gribben corner. But on 66 minutes, Carnoustie came back yet again. Clark volleyed home, although Christie looked to have been fouled as he punched clear from a Gates’ cross.

Carnoustie’s Cumming was sent off for elbowing before being followed by Nimmo of Bo’ness after two yellow cards.
