JOHN McGLYNN insisted he’s not concerned by Hearts’ recent record away to Dundee United, despite not winning at Tannadice in over three and a half years.

Hearts have taken just one point in their last six visits to the Arabs’ home ground, with their last win there coming
under Csaba Laszlo when Michael Stewart scored the only goal in February 2009.

However, McGlynn is hoping to turn that statistic on its head this weekend. He said: “I have not been involved in the last three years, so for me, it is just another challenge. There’s no better time to go there and win a game of football. It would give us a massive boost and it would put us above United in the table as well.

“It doesn’t come into my reckoning at all. I just see it as the next game, it just happens to be Dundee United and I don’t believe that we have been playing too badly. We don’t believe we are doing that much wrong. We believe that we can go there and win and that is what we will be trying to do.”

Meanwhile, Hearts could face a transfer embargo as
punishment for late payment of wages to some of their senior players.

The Scottish Premier League will discuss the latest delay in payment of salaries at their monthly meeting after being informed of the situation by the Tynecastle club yesterday.

Hearts claim that they have been unable to fulfil their wage requirements because they are still waiting on half of the £600,000 that the SPL were due to pay to all of their member clubs at the start of this season. The club hope that because the money is owed to them by the SPL, that the governing body will take a lenient approach.
