Fishy deals cause stink
ROGUE traders are targeting vulnerable people at their doors in a bid to sell sub-standard pre-packed fish, Trading Standards officers have advised.
Alerts are being sounded in East Lothian following incidents in Gullane and Gifford. Refrigerated vans are rarely used to transport the fish, which is often several days old.
Derek Gray, principal Trading Standards officer, said: “I would urge residents to be cautious before accepting the fish on offer.”
