Project gets green light
MORE than 500 homes are set to be built in the Lothians after a development was given the go-ahead by council chiefs.
Hallhill Developments Ltd aim to create 525 homes on land to the west of Brodie Road at Hallhill South West, Dunbar. The development would include 125 affordable homes. The 23.6 hectare site is currently agricultural land.
An assessment found archaeological interest at the site was “high”, with an old cemetery possibly located in the area, and experts recommended work was carried out to further examine the area. An extra bus stop for new residents is likely.
The proposals were given approval by East Lothian Council at a recent meeting.
