Police meet report target
POLICE have hit targets for delivering reports to the Children’s Reporter within two weeks, new figures have shown.
Lothian and Borders Police handed 1376 reports to the Children’s Reporter between April and November last year.
The police figures show that 86 per cent were completed within 14 days. The target is 80 per cent. In Edinburgh, officers managed to hand in 98 per cent of 563 reports within the time.
A total of 42,532 children were referred to the Children’s Reporter in 2009/10.
