Mining facts on players
Miners who went on to become professional football players will be the subject of a talk at the National Mining Museum Scotland in Newtongrange.
Richard McBrearty, curator of the Scottish Football Museum, will give a presentation on the players and managers who came from the mining communities of Lanarkshire, Ayrshire, Lothian and Fife on Friday at 2pm.
Entry to the event is free and all are welcome.
