Man denies throwing stolen sword at woman in street
A MAN has denied attacking a woman with a Samurai sword in the street.
Richard Lambert appeared from custody at Livingston Sheriff Court in connection with an alleged incident last Thursday, February 9.
Lambert, 30, from Livingston, West Lothian, pleaded not guilty to theft and public order charges involving the weapon.
He denied stealing the sword from a house in the Ladywell district of Livingston and being in possession of the blade. He further denied behaving in a threatening and abusive manner and attempting to gain access to a house in Pinebank, Ladywell.
Finally he pleaded not guilty to assaulting Ashley Johnston by throwing the sword at her.
Sheriff Donald Muirhead fixed trial for March and remanded Lambert in custody.
