Deadline set for tourism award entries
Businesses in the Lothians have been urged to enter the new regionalised tourism awards.
National tourism quango VisitScotland has revamped its annual Thistle Awards and is holding a regional awards ceremony for central/south east at Stirling’s Tolbooth Theatre in May.
It has set a deadline of March 2 for businesses to enter.
Manuela Calchini, regional director at VisitScotland, said: “The Scottish Thistle Awards seek to recognise the excellent work that the region’s tourism industry does on a day-to-day basis. The new format allows all businesses, no matter how small, to get involved in this prestigious event, and not only show that they are best from their area but possibly also the best in the country.”
Among the winners from the Lothians in recent years was Loanhead-based EAE Leaflets.
