Court acquits 17-year-old
A TEENAGER accused of telling a 15-year-old boy he was “dead” and pretending to dig his grave has been dramatically cleared.
The case against 17-year-old David Girvan was deserted by the Crown midway through a trial at Livingston Sheriff Court.
Girvan, of Livingston, West Lothian, had denied behaving in a threatening and abusive manner towards the youngster in the Knightsridge district of the town on June 8 last year.
Sheriff Donald Muirhead told Girvan he had been acquitted and was free to go.
