Axed web radio station in hunt for fresh funds
A PLEA has gone out to help bring back a popular online radio station that was taken off-air after its funding was cut.
There are hopes Prestongrange Radio, which is run by volunteers, could be back later this year if sponsorship can be secured.
Callum Wilson, who set up the station from his home in Prestonpans, said: “We want to bring something a bit different to online radio and we’re hoping that people will give us help.
“We’ve had so many e-mails saying they would love to DJ with us, but still no funding.
“We would really like to make the station a success, but we need backing.
“It would be great if we had three or four main sponsors, which would give us our funding that we need yearly.”
