Chance to have say on budget cuts
The city council has launched its search for organisations to take part in a summit on budget cuts.
A series of meetings are being held with the local neighbourhood partnerships across the city to discuss budgets, which will culminate in a city-wide meeting on December 3 at the City Chambers.
Council leader Jenny Dawe has asked for any organisations that want to take part in the event, which will consider the financial challenges facing the city, to get in touch.
In her monthly leader’s report, Cllr Dawe said: “The council and partner public sector organisations in the city are facing challenging times. To succeed in meeting these, it is vital that the best use is made of all available resources.
“We are therefore working closely with our partners in the city to ensure our money is spent on achieving good outcomes for our residents and our communities.”
